This 4-hour hands-on workshop focuses on working with porcelain paper clay and black stoneware. You’ll explore versatile sculpting techniques that will empower you to design and create any flower—whether abstract or realistic.
By the end of the session, you’ll have made three contrasting flower sculptures, while gaining the skills, logic, and confidence to approach any bloom in the future.
Price: £150 per person (includes all materials and lunch)
What’s included:
Creating with porcelain paper clay and black stoneware
Making three flower designs of your own
Hand-building methods, moulds, and surface texturing techniques
Approaches to hanging or standing display fixings
Firing of all works to 1260°C (with optional clear glaze for porcelain)
Take-home PDF covering techniques learned
Optional discounted follow-up session for gold lustre, decals, or further finishing

Time: 11:00–13:00, break 13:00–14:00, then 14:00–16:00
Location: Thames-Side Studios, SE18 5NR (South East London)
Bring: notebook/sketchbook, water bottle, favourite clay tools (optional), and clothes you don’t mind getting messy
Food & Drinks: Lunch provided at a local café (included in the price). Tea, coffee, and light snacks will be available. You’re welcome to bring your own lunch if you prefer.
Accessibility: Please let me know if you have any access needs or allergies.
Suitability: For adults of all skill levels (not suitable for young children).
Collection: Finished works will be ready in approx. two weeks after proper drying and firing. Collection from the studio or delivery available (postage fee applies).
