Black Rose No. 31 is a hand-built sculptural rose made from black stoneware. Each petal is individually shaped by hand, creating soft variation and a strong, organic form. The piece is inspired by the rose garden in Greenwich Park, London, a place I regularly visit and draw from in my practice.
The flower can be displayed freestanding or mounted on the wall, either as a single sculptural piece or as part of a larger installation with other flowers from the collection.
