I understand that plans can change. Please read the policy below before booking a lesson, workshop, package or online course.
REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS
Private One-to-One Lessons
-
If you need to reschedule a private lesson, please give at least 48 hours’ notice.
With 48 hours’ notice or more, I will do my best to move your lesson to another suitable date, subject to availability.
If you cancel or reschedule with less than 48 hours’ notice, the lesson may be charged in full and may not be transferred.
-
If you do not attend your lesson and have not given notice, the lesson will be treated as used and no refund or transfer will be offered.
-
Because mentorship and intensive packages involve planning, preparation and reserved studio time, cancellations must be made in writing.
If you cancel more than 14 days before the first agreed session, you may receive a refund minus any payment processing fees and any agreed preparation costs.
If you cancel less than 14 days before the first session, part or all of the fee may be retained to cover reserved time, planning and preparation.
Once the mentorship has started, any completed sessions will be charged at the standard rate. Any unused balance may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
-
Online lessons follow the same cancellation policy as private lessons.
Please give at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule.
If you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice, miss the session, have technical problems on your side, or are not prepared with the agreed materials, the session may still be charged in full.
-
If you purchase an online course, digital tutorial, PDF, download or video-based product, different cancellation rules may apply.
If you have not accessed, downloaded or started the digital content, you may request a refund within 14 days of purchase.
Once digital content has been accessed, downloaded or started, it is usually non-refundable.
-
Ready-made artworks, tools and physical products purchased online may be returned in line with UK consumer law. You must contact me within 14 days of receiving your order if you wish to return an item, and the item must then be returned within a further 14 days.
Items must be unused, safely packaged and returned in their original condition. Please contact me before sending anything back.
If you are returning an item because you have changed your mind, return postage is your responsibility. I recommend using a tracked and insured service, especially for ceramic artworks, as the item remains your responsibility until it arrives back safely.
Refunds will be processed once the item has been received and checked. If an item is returned damaged, used, altered or not safely packaged, a refund may be reduced or refused.
Custom-made, personalised, bespoke and commissioned artworks are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled once work has started, unless they are faulty, damaged on arrival, or not as described.
If your item arrives damaged or faulty, please contact me as soon as possible with clear photographs of the item, packaging and delivery box.
-
Commissioned, personalised or custom-made artworks are non-refundable once work has begun, unless there is a fault or another issue agreed in writing.
A deposit may be required to secure a commission. Deposits cover design time, planning, materials and reserved studio time, and may be non-refundable once the commission has started.
-
On rare occasions, I may need to cancel or reschedule a lesson or workshop due to illness, studio issues, kiln problems, transport disruption or circumstances beyond my control.
If I cancel, you will be offered either:
a transfer to a new date;
a credit towards another lesson or workshop;
or a refund.
-
Ceramics is a handmade and kiln-fired process. Although every care is taken, clay can crack, warp, change colour, break or behave unpredictably during drying and firing.
Refunds are not normally offered for natural variations, kiln results, cracking, glaze changes or other outcomes that are part of the ceramic process.
-
All cancellation or rescheduling requests must be made in writing by email:
-
Lesson packages are offered at a reduced rate because they are booked as a block.
If you decide to stop part-way through a package, any lessons already taken will be charged at the standard single-session rate. Any remaining unused balance may then be refunded, minus any payment processing fees and any agreed material, firing or preparation costs.
Example: if you book a 10-hour package and use 3 hours, those 3 hours will be charged at the normal hourly rate, and the remaining balance may be refunded.
Unused package hours cannot be transferred to another person unless agreed in writing.
Group Workshops
-
If you cancel more than 7 days before the workshop date, you may receive a full refund, minus any payment processing fees.
If you cancel less than 7 days before the workshop date, the booking is non-refundable, unless I am able to fill your place.
In the case of a genuine emergency, please contact me as soon as possible. I may be able to offer a transfer to another available workshop date, depending on availability.
You are welcome to send someone else in your place, but please email me their name and contact details before the workshop.
-
If you miss a workshop, arrive too late to take part, or leave early, no refund or partial refund will be given.
