Black Flower No. 8
Black Flower No. 8 is handcrafted from black clay that is heavily pigmented with oxides. To preserve its deep, velvety matte surface, the piece is left unglazed, allowing the natural character of the clay to come through.
Each petal is individually hand-formed. The soft textures and gentle indentations across the surface are created directly by my fingers, leaving subtle traces of the making process and giving the flower an organic, tactile quality.
This piece can be displayed as a freestanding sculptural work or as part of a wider collection.
